Public examination results, set out below, are placed within the broader context of Bedalians' overall achievements. We do this because our aims are ambitious, both academically - "to develop inquisitive thinkers with a love of learning who cherish independent thought" - and, more broadly, in terms of students' personal development.
Having said this, our desire to develop inquisitive, independent-minded people with a good breadth of interests is no substitute for strong academic achievement, reflected in measurable ways - public exam results, access to higher education and successful careers. The intention with the information published here is to give prospective and current students and parents a better sense of Bedalians' various trajectories - at school and in their subsequent university and professional careers.
A Level results
Following the release of the 2024 A Level results, Bedales students secured offers from some of the most prestigious educational and artistic institutions globally. Thirty one per cent of grades achieved by Bedales students were A*- A, with 19% of students achieving the equivalent of at least three A grades, seven of whom had previously attended Bedales Prep or Pre-prep School. GCSE and BAC results
Bedales students are celebrating after receiving their GCSE and Bedales Assessed Course (BAC) results with over two thirds of grades 9-7 (equivalent to A*-A). Twenty-seven per cent of students achieved at least nine grades 9-7 with 10% achieving a clean sweep of at least nine grades 9/8 (equivalent to A*). Of these high performing students, 11 attended Bedales Prep or Pre-prep prior to progressing to Bedales Senior. Read more here.
