This year saw the 24th exchange between Bedales and Dubai College continuing. Eight students from the Sixth Form, led by Jo Alldridge and Liz Richards, returned once again to enjoy a week’s sunshine at the end of last term. Dubai hosts were exceptionally warm and welcoming, making the visit not only an amazing touring experience but also socially rewarding. The Bedales students delivered 7 shows all around Dubai and then two more on their return to Dunhurst and Bedales. The Physical Theatre piece was based on the ideas of life cycles, threats to the environment and extinction. It was devised by our students and gave audiences, ranging from 8 to 18 year olds, something to really reflect upon. Several schools followed up the performance with a workshop which was a new experience for Bedalians and one they mastered extremely well.
