Mary Hancox, Development and Alumni Manager
Mary has worked at Bedales since 2009. She moved to Hampshire from London to bring up her young family before returning to work, joining the External Relations team. Mary has helped organise many events at Bedales over the years. She enjoyed being a part of the fundraising campaign to build the Art & Design Building which was completed in 2016, after which the focus turned to raising funds for John Badley Foundation bursaries. Outside of work Mary has been involved in PTA committees and events at her children's schools. She is also a member of a support group for the Rowans Hospice, helping with village events to fundraise for this important local charity.

Emma Plumbe, Alumni & Development Officer
Emma joined Bedales in 2023 to help drive engagement with Alumni and support the fundraising strategy for the John Badley Foundation. Emma spent 13 years in the London Advertising Agency world before making the move out to the country with her family. Emma and her husband originally fell in love with Hampshire when picking up his much younger sister from Bedales on Long Leave Weekends, so immediately snapped up a local old project house. The house included a run-down barn which they have now converted into a successful Airbnb. Emma enjoys a busy life at home with her two daughters, three Border Terriers and a small holding of goats, pigs, runner ducks and hens. She is also known to enjoy a lunch time wander over to visit our own animals here at Bedales!
