Last week, children at Bedales Pre-prep, Dunannie delivered an outstanding performance of their Christmas production ‘The Mousehole Cat’. Adapted from the original book by Antonia Barber, the script created by some of the Year 3 children, tells the dramatic and moving tale of a cat who goes with its owner on a fishing expedition in rough seas. Children from each year group had a role to play, including dancing kittens in onesies, to beautiful fish performing a flowing underwater dance, and the villagers who led Tom Mowzer’s boat safely back to the harbour. The production was enhanced by wonderful musical pieces, including both contemporary and traditional songs such as ‘Cats of the Sea’ and ‘Twas a Dark Misty Day’. Read more
