Bedales was lucky enough to have a visit from Heather Fisher (Sky Sports ‘Living for Sport’ mentor) who is currently in the England women’s rugby team and was also part of the Women’s World Cup winning team in 2014. She gave an inspirational talk to the Gifted and Talented students who were able to learn more about her story. As well as being an England player, she has also competed for Great Britain in the bobsleigh. Students took part in a training session where they learnt new skills that they could use and develop for their own individual training programmes. Heather left a lasting impression that anything is possible if you are willing to work hard enough for it.
