Review by Jake Scott, Block 2
On 29 November I arrived on a cold night at the Art and Design building, with a keen anticipation of the long awaited Bedales Fashion Show. I was warmly welcomed by Louise and shown through to the stage. As soon as I walked in my eye was drawn to the rainbow bridge (paddling pool), which opened out onto the catwalk, and provided the entrance for the models. White clouds in the form of many balloons were strung up to the ceiling, and added to the feeling of freedom. Pointing through the rainbow bridge, were projected faces of dolls, creating a dark contrast to the unicorn world of rainbows. Olly Shinder (6.2) introduced the show and the charity which the show was raising money for - Action on Addiction. The designs where amazing and I forgot that they were made by students! I was glad to see some of the students were modelling as well. All involved should be really proud!
