Bedales musicians and singers were busy again last week. Along with students from Churcher’s, Ditcham Park, and The Petersfield School each school showcased their talent to provide an entertaining and varied evening of song, music and dance. The funds raised are in aid of Save the Children and it is always a well attended, enjoyable evening. Bedales cello ensemble performed the powerful Beethoven's Funeral March under Will Lithgow's direction and Nick Gleed's singers were joyous in his arrangement of 'Somewhere over the Rainbow’ and also two madrigals. I am deeply grateful to the musicians and music department for their continuing support of this annual event when it is such a busy time for them all and with the added stress of it clashing with the Whole School Dance.
