Have you undertaken any kind of further study since leaving Bedales and have you gained any further qualifications?
I studied Sports Journalism at Southampton Solent and gained a BA (Hons) and a NCTJ diploma.
What kind of work are you currently involved in and how and why did you come to be doing it?
The BBC offered me a job as soon as I graduated, having spent my final year of university working on their sports TV output. I left the BBC to go freelance last year and have worked for Sky Sports, Channel 4 and the BBC since. I’m currently working as a Video Producer for some of the biggest sports organisations across all sports for LiveWire Sport, a BAFTA winning sports media agency. I’m looking forward to being in Rio for my 3rd Olympics, this time for Channel 4.
Did attending Bedales help you in getting to where you are now and how satisfied are you with what you are doing?
Bedales left an indelible mark on me and I have no doubt I wouldn't be where I am without my five years under your watchful eye... Academically, the school probably didn't play a huge role for me. But the personal relationships with staff and students, independence and open mindedness without a doubt helped me. I'm doing what I love for a living and couldn't ask for anymore.
Have you been involved in any other interesting activities or occupations since leaving school?
I'm working on some personal side project documentaries. I plan to be filming in North Korea later in the year, focusing on their sporting legacy programmes. I’ve also spent some time filming with the Aetherius Society, a strange alien believing cult... Almost felt at home with them...
