Have you undertaken any kind of further study since leaving Bedales and have you gained any further qualifications?
I graduated from Royal Holloway, University of London, with a 2:1 in Geography BSc (2012) and in 2015 graduated from Brighton University with a PGCE in primary teaching.
What kind of work are you currently involved in, and how and why have you come to be doing it?
I am teaching in a primary school with a Year 3 class.
Did attending Bedales help you in getting to where you are now and how satisfied are you with what you are doing?
Bedales gave me lots of opportunities and the whole Badley ethos and experience there has helped me in life (probably more so, now I have left and look back and appreciate the aims and efforts e.g. Peter Coates and Outdoor Work, Martin Box and silver work.
Have you been involved in any other interesting activities or occupations since leaving school?
I have made and sold jewellery (at Camden market) and taught people how to make necklaces, bracelets etc. I volunteered with ICS (a government run project for young people) in Honduras for 3 months in 2013. I was community liaison officer and organised workshops with the community and worked in a coffee cooperative called COMUCAP. In 2012, I volunteered as an athlete escort, for both Olympics and Paralympics- I was on stage with the winning athletes guiding and directing them through the event (rowers, canoes, kayakers, blind judo and wheelchair fencing).
